WELCOMEWe are into the new semester. At our chapel this month, we will be collecting money for thoses in need through CRWRC - a ministry of the Christian Reformed Church. Our class has voted to collect for a water filter, some chickens and some literacy books. You can bring your money in at any time.Our new Bible memory passage is Matthew 6: 19- 34. It is a long one. We will begin this week and learn verse by verse. Review what we have done at home. I will keep you posted as to how far we are. We have practiced verses 19 through 25. We'll be starting memorizing the multiplication facts soon. Watch for some news about that.
Things to remember as we continue this year: Read every day! Make sure that you bring your take home folder back and forth to school. Get your library books in on time. Study math facts! Fix the mistakes on your papers when you bring them home. Study for tests! Go over Bible memory at home. What are we working on? Bible -We are beginning a new unit - God's Law. We are also beginning a new memory passage - Matthew 6:19-34. Reading-We are beginning our 2nd book for reading. Our story for this week is "Lon Po Po". Language - We finished up our poem and started unit 4 on pronouns. Penmanship- We'll be practicing letters y,x, and v this week. Spelling- The Spelling test is Wed.(unit 22) Math- We are finished with the short chapter on multiplication.(an introduction to it) We have begun learning the facts. Social Studies -We had the test on the Cheyenne on Friday. The next couple days we will be working on making up a story using symbols and putting it on our buffalo skin that we made in art class. Then we will start the last group of Indians that we will study - the Navaho. Science- The new chapter is on Rocks and Soil. We have looked at the first two sections and will start the third on soil.
