Woodcarving club with

Mr. Klompmaker

Woodcarving club is an after school class, like piano lessons,

to which all Jr. High students are invited. Students buy knives and wood from Mr. Klompmaker and pay a small lesson fee for the eight sessions. 

The carving classes meet Wednesday (8th grade) and Thursday (7th grade) from 3:45 to 5:00. The eighth graders, who usually have taken carving in 7th, carve either a snowman or an old style Father Christmas. Seventh graders begin with lessons in sharpening a knife, knife safety and bandaging wounds. Other projects inculde an egg and a duck. 

Visitors are welcome to any of our sessions.
