Physical Education

Hi, I'm Mr. Henry Huitsing. I am the Physical Education instructor. I attended Valparaiso University and Dordt College. I am a member of IAHPERD.(Ilinois Association of Health, Physical Education, Recreation, and Dance.)  I atended the P.E. state convention at Pheasant Run Resort in November.   My classes are structured for fitness, learning, recreational and competitive play. My favorite activities include hockey, badminton, and basketball. In my spare time, I like to take of our pond and cruise in our black '57 Chevy.

In our classes, we have finished playing basketball and are starting to play lead-up games to teach floor hockey and play competitively in Jr Hi.  The younger classes are working on the skills of striking and coordination.  Intra-mural basketball will begin in January for the 5th and 6th grade boys and girls. 

Basketball season is here.  There are teams for boys and girls for grades 6, 7, and 8.    The 6th grade boys finished their season will no losses! Congrats to the team and their coach , Mr. Jeff Stallinga.  I will be coaching a very determined group of 6th grade girls this year.  Come
