Mrs. Furlong's Fine

Fifth Grade Class

The theme for our chapel services this year is COMFORT as outlined in question and answer #1 of the Heidelberg Catechism which states:

What is your only comfort in life and in death?

That I am not my own, but belong - body and soul,

in life and in death - to my faithful Savior Jesus Christ.

We will explore details of this theme each month.

Note: Our next chapel is Thursday, February 16.

                                                              February 2, 2012

This week we are enjoying presentations by six students who worked on science fair projects. Each student gives an oral report on his or her subject and explains all the material on the backboard display. We are learning some interesting things. It  is especially neat is that each topic is quite different and unique from the others. To see all the projects, you will need to visit the science fair on Saturday. Each student in my class has been given the opportunity to go on to the area science fair at Memorial Jr. High. If you are available on February 25, you may see many of our L.C. S. students go on to the next level. For a student, participating in such an event is a privilege and a memorable activity.

                                                             Sincerely,

                                                              Mrs. Furlong
