Pre-Kindergarten Program
The Bible gives the responsibility of training children to parents. The words founding Deuteronomy 6:6-7, Proverbs 22:6, Psalm 78:2-6, and other passages clearly tell what is expected of parents with regard to teaching their children. The Christian school works in harmony with the church and home to achieve this goal. Lansing Christian School serves as an extension of the Christian home. Our teachers “stand in the place of parents” during the school day.
We believe the Christian school is the foremost present day means for partnering with parents in the important role of fulfilling the command of the Lord to “train up a child in the way…”(Prov. 22:6. God reveals Himself in the Bible and in creation. The Christian school gives the Bible a prominent place in all teaching and thus plays an important role in transmitting to our children their spiritual heritage.
In preschool we maintain a balance of work and play, of individual and group activities. The children are challenged, at their level, and they are given varied opportunities for development.
Lansing Christian provides its preschool students with information and experiences, which will lead them to realize that God knows and cares for them. They are His special children, made in His image, living in His world. Children and teachers together form a classroom community as part of the body of Christ where children learn the value of serving by sharing and working together in a secure and loving Christian environment.
